URGENT - Report: Opportunity Owner Full name not available

Hi,
As per client requirement, we've added "Owner Full Name" in Opportunity layout (In Staging instance) instead of "Owner" (That reflects only first name). However, there seems to be 2 issues attached with it:

1. "Owner Full Name" field doesn't seems to be an available field in reports.
2. This field is "read only" by default in a new layout even when its not a "read only" field under field setup for opportunity.

Please help suggesting a possible solution or highlight if I'm missing something here.
