How to throttle log shipping?

Hello,

I have a question regarding Data guard and network configuration between primary and standby. Every now and then due to different failures (HW, network, human error, etc.) a standby falls behind primary. Log apply gaps ranges from small to large and everything in between. Recently one of our standby databases stopped applying logs due to 100% used disk space. Failure occurred during the night and in the morning we had gap of 66 logs of approx. 20 GB size. After we resolved disk issues and got DG running again, network became 100% saturated due to log transport. Application servers on primary database were getting network timeouts, clients were having increased

Howdy, Stranger!
