Solaris 11.1 Update 14.0.5 change to shadow file

We are looking to update our systems from Solaris 11.1 sru 7.0.5 and I have updated a test system to Solaris 11.1 sru 14.0.5.  I have noticed that the password system works a little different,  some of may script are failing.
Can anyone tell me where this was added and where I can find a write up the this and any other changes to the password system.
