asset upload - depreciation calculation seems to be incorrect

Hi All,

We converted an asset from a legacy system into DEC-13.  Here are the steps we followed:

loaded asset into DEC-13, method is STL, pro-rate is mid-month (1 - 15 placed in service goes to that month, 16 - end of month goes to following month)

asset was loaded with date placed in service as december 1, 2012, but changed on line to december 31, 2012; thus changing the pro-rate date to 01-JAN-2013.  The accum and ytd depreciation were loaded as 968,814.  The asset has a life of 36 months and a cost of 2906440.98.  The asset did not have the depreicate box checked in DEC-13.  We closed DEC-13 and then checked the depreciate box in JAN-14.  We ran depreciation.  We expected the depreciation to be 80,734.47; however it's 53822.98.  The calculation seems to be (2906440.98-968,814)/36 = 53822.98.  Any ideas why this would be happening?  Thanks!
