Creation of Instance

Hi,

Wanted a confirmation that the behaviour we are seeing below is an oracle expected behaviour.

- We manually created an instance for serial controlled item. Serial number was a mandatory field on the screen and we entered a new unique serial number. The instance was created with customer as owner. When we went to Inventory> Serial number--- This serial number was created in "Issued out of Stores" in the Inventory org we selected during instance created. Our understanding is that the instance creation process takes care of serial number creation in Inventory.

Can you pls confirm this is expected behaviour for a serial controlled item?
