Serial Number not available for selection after releasing

Hi All,

I have created an Item Instance # 123 a serial number # ABC123 for Item # ABC123.

Now, I realised I used the Serial Number for the wrong item % updated the Serial Number to # ABC123INVALID for Itme Instance # 123 in Installed Base.

Then, when I'm trying to use this Serial Number # ABC123 against the correct Item # ABC456, it throing an error saying 'Passed Serial Number Violated Uniqueness'.

When I've already released the correct serial number, y am I encountering this error.

Any suggestions please!
