What is the use of profile option POS: SM: Enable Buyer D&B Enrichment in Prospective Supplier Regis

Hello,
What is the purpose of the below profile option. We are implementing iSupplier portal. Does it help us in any way.
When i checked , i found the below explanation, which i did not understand.

To enable usage of D&B Enrichment in Prospective Supplier Registration set to Yes. To disable
set to No.

what does D&B mean here, is it Dun and Bradstreet ?
