Upgrade to 8.1.1.11 from 8.1.1.10

Dear Experts,
We are in version 8.1.1.10 and want to upgrade to 8.1.1.11.  Is it required execute IRM process if I install 8.1.1.11 as migration instalation?
I have readed in another post and some people suggest that there is one option to execute the upgrade without IRM.

If that is true, where can I get references to this procedure? I searched various sources 
and have not found detail about it.
