Unable to edit the status of workorders

After we went live with our 11g database upgrade and installed eAM consolidated patch 14017681 (as well as patches for all our other modules), the "Enable Workflow for Workorders" box was checked for all eAM Orgs.  This caused work orders to be created with a system status of Draft regardless of the user status selected.  The user status was also displayed with “- pending “as a suffix.  The "Pending" box on the work order was checked and we could not remove the check through the form and because the work order had a system status of Draft we could not do anything with the work order.  The problem was resolved by removing the check
