Backing up my Oracle Database 10g - Help Please!!

Thanks all for your replies but I have to be brutally honest here and admit that I simply do not understand your suggestions, so my apologies.
When you ask to see the "log" file, what one do you specifically mean?

I am using Windows 8.1 and Primavera 8.3.1.

When I previously used Primavera V6.2.1 I would have no problem whatsoever in backing up and restoring the SQL 2005 Edition Database, but as being new to the Oracle Database 10g Express Edition, to be honest, I find it all quite daunting and I am at a loss as to how to back up my Primavera work contained in the Database, probably through fear of doing something wrong.
