Issue with "Ship To Deliver" Workflow

 Hi,
Currently, I am testing the "Ship to Deliver" workflow which gets launched as part of Ship Confirmation process and the same is available from R12 onwards.

It works fine on a normal situations. However, it gets stuck with "Notified" status at the node "Interfaced to OM, INV" when the Interface Trip Stop completes in error and the behaviour is valid.
However, we couldn't progress the workflow even after the sales order issue transaction has been processed manually after fixing the error.

I tried various options of running the workflow background process with different parameters, tried the option of "retry" , suspend and resume options etc, but the activity "Interfaced to OM, INV" doesn't progress at all.
