Siebel Parellel development strategy and IRM

Hi Siebel Experts,

Is it possible to configure our system for parellel development using IRM?. Following are what we looking for:

1. Use single or multiple repository for parellel development, i.e when one release is in UAT cycle, we need another release parellel development which is in SIT , both should continue at same but different production release.,

2. What will be the risk , how to merge repository from one track to another track, is it manual process or fully automated?

3. Will IRM can hellp using development tagging ?

4. Any other tools, or configuration management strategy to share?. our team located in one geograhical location.
