Question About Associating TAs to ERs

Can anyone explain to me why PeopleSoft EX allows a TA to be associated to only one Expense Report?  Just wondering, as this seems strange to me.  If an employee reates a TA for an extended trip, he/she may actually need to submit expense reports periodically during the trip.  Just wondering.
