server memory details

Hi All,

is there a method to dynamically identify the  physical memory  bytes and free memory bytes  available in a server,the requirement is to collect details by means of shell script and then insert into database table for an application

how to identify how much physical memory allocated for oracle (something like shared memory...)

we have two databases in a server, can we say that sum of memory target is the used memory out of the availble memory in the server.
