Limitation of XLS data in BI Publisher?

Hi - we are on PeopleSoft Financial/SCM Systems - 9.0. Our tools is 8.51.

I am creating an Assets report using XML Publisher. I wrote an application engine program and when I run the report to PDF, I get a full report with 1804 pages. However, when I run the exact same report to XLS, I get 0 rows. There are no error messages; the XML file is created, I just don't get the report.

Does anyone know if there a limitation to the number of rows a BI Publisher report will produce in XLS?
