in depth setup and configuration for early financial aid offers

 We are a Campus solutions 9.0 and wanting to implement early financial aid awarding for our students. 
Can you help me get a documentation on how to implement this and if there is a way to do this in batch? Is this a straightforward setup, what are the pre-reqs for setup? how is testing done for this? how to communicate to students about their early offers?

Any other items needed to consider when implementing this for the first time?

I appreciate any help or direction you can give me.
