Question about cost of a basic Linux infrastructure and requirements

Hello,
I have a couple of questions about Oracle Linux.

1) What is the required infrastructure to use Oracle Linux? Do I need hardware purchased from Oracle, or can I run it on certified hardware from other vendors, IBM, HP, etc.?
( I currently user IBM AIX 6.1 on 64-bit PowePC's)
Unfortunately the Linux section on Oracle.com is rather hard to navigate to find that info.

2) Is it possible to install Oracle Linux for home use/test/development on an AMD processor just like any other distro?

3) Does anyone have any experience on the cost of a basic infrastructure : Oracle Linux, Oracle Database ?
