Performance advantage on T5-2
On a Sparc T5-2 is there any advantage (performance or availability) of putting one HBA in one of the first four slots (1-4) and another HBA in one of the second four slots (5-8) ?If so, would the same apply to having two NICs distributed the same way (one on the left, one on the right "set" of slots ) ?
In the above scenario there would be a single connection from each HBA to one, of two, SAN switches. The NICs would have an aggregation of two ports, one from each NIC.
In other words is there a different bus, or controller, for the slots on the left versus the right; which would lead to an advantage over just putting all the cards in slots 1 - 4 (for example) ?
