Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. HI,

I am doing the process of migration ledger one instance to another instance.

In gl ledgers table GL_ALC_LEDGER_TYPE_CODE one field is there. In this field NONE, SOURCE, TARGET Options we have to give.

If i give NONE then only i can migrate ledger. But source and Target also available.

I want to know what scenario i can use Source and Target in the GL_ALC_LEDGER_TYPE_CODE field.
