Getting Fatal Errors in GL Posting? Try the new Log Inspector to inspect the log file and identify t

We know that fatal errors in GL Journals Posting is a great worry. Without posting GL is worthless.
Now you can resolve most of the fatal error cases by yourself almost instantly (for known cases) .
If your R12 Posting process terminated with a Fatal Error you just need to:

  1. go to Document 1598120.1 in My Oracle Support (no need for any downloads or installations),
  2. open the Log file of the failed posting process, select all the text and copy,
  3. paste it into the text area in the referred Document 1598120.1
  4. follow the flow to identify the possible known problem causing the fatal error. You will receive clear and complete instructions of what you need to do for the concrete case identified.
