Pricing overrides and their effect on Price History

I am using JDE Oneworld 9.0 and utilize advanced pricing.  We don't really use Base Price per se, but have various price adjustments to get what we consider to be base price for the quantity ordered.  We have a price adjustment by item number with various price breaks by quantity, and also have an adjustment by product group.  We are gradually getting more and more of our pricing set by product group, to reduce the amount of time to setup pricing.  During sales order entry, pricing is pulled from the price adjustment detail file and is written to the price history screen.  However,
