HTML Template Compression is not working

HI ,
As part of Tuning our Web Applications we have enabled "compress-html-template" tag , but our changes are not reflecting .

we added below lines at weblogic.xml .

<wls:jsp-descriptor>
        <wls:compress-html-template>true</wls:compress-html-template>
</wls:jsp-descriptor>

plz suggest us .
