BI Publisher upgrade

my company is starting an ERP 9.1 upgrade project.  We are currently at ERP 8.12 Tools 8.98 upgrade 4.12; with BI Pub Desktop 10.1.3.4.1

We will be creating many new BI Pub templates and are wondering whether it would be better to develop them within our current environment or ERP 9.1.

I've run across the doc "Embedded_BI_Publisher_Results_Analysis" which shows the increased performance gained when running embedded BI Pub in with Tools 9.1 vs 8.98.4.4 with ERP 9 - which was very informative.

What I'm looking for information on the enhanced functionality offered in BI Pub Desktop 11.1.1.5.0 and the benefits to creating BI Pub templates using ERP 9.1 with BI Pub Desktop 11.1.1.5.0 as opposed to creating them in ERP 8.12 with  BI Pub Desktop 10.1.3.4.1
