RMAN Initialization Error

One of my RMAN jobs is experiencing an intialiization error during execution.  The only output is 'Read Timed Out'.  I am not getting any hits on this error.  Its failed the last two days.  Prior to that it was running without error.  The job was created and scheduled via OEM.  Any help would be appreciated.
