Split Orders/Quote lines based on Capable to promise

 Client needs to split order lines based on the capable to promise dates for an item.
Receive order for 1000 units of Item A
Capacity is 100 units per month
Quantity on hand is 0

Split the lines for scheduling over 10 months based on capacity of 100 per month.

Can this be automated?
If it cannot be automated , is there somewhere I can draw the information from to use the API to split the lines?


Can it be automated for Quoting as well?
