How to determine SHIP CONFIRM rule used when ship confirming delivery

We have an issue where certain instances the BOL will not print upon ship confirming.
The users swear they are using the correct ship confirm rules that generate the BOL, further they claim that same rule sometimes generates a BOL and other time it does not.

We have been unsuccessful to figure out they are truly using the correct rule and hence this posting.

I have checked delivery header and delivery lines data in the database but unable to find a link to which ship confirm rule is used on the delivery.

I am looking for a script or some method of figuring out the rule used.
