OTL-Performance Issue when a Timecard contain 30+ Lines

We have several employees with complicated timecard entries. They need to enter times to different program, task and expenditure types. As a results, they have 30+ lines for each pay period. The response time getting longer as the lines increase. It take a minutes for each "Save" action, and bring up the timecard to review take a few minutes as well. Is there anyone has similar issue? How is it resolved?
