Industry Activator - what does it do? Does it affect CRM Service and EAM?

  Hi communities, 
Under the System Administrator responsibility, there's a concurrent request set called "Industry Activator", where you can choose an industry sector (e.g. Utilities - Water) and it looks as if it goes off and pre-seeds a load of lookup values and sets a profile option.

  1. Can anyone tell me exactly what it does?  
  2. Are you allowed to use it (do you have to pay extra for it?)?  
  3. Is it old functionality?
  4. Does it affect/help configure CRM Service / Field Service?
  5. Does it affect/help configure EAM?
