R17024

Is there a way to keep R17024 from changing the dates on itemes allready entered in the equipment master?

scenario: A item is manufactured and driven throught the system and the R17024 adds it to the Equipment Master with the Aquire Date 1/1/12 and Installation Date 1/1/12. The item comes back for service on 1/1/14 and

when the R17024 runs at the end of the day, it Updates the two dates of that item to 1/1/14. This is a problem for us, because we base our standard warranty on the Installation Date, so now it looks like the item has a longer warranty then it actually has.
