Problems with XFS RAID on 6.5

While try to create a two disk array I keep getting a message that the partitions are "misaligned by XXXXX bytes". I can for the format but it tells me that would cause degraded performance.
Error creating file system: helper exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
warning: device is not properly aligned /dev/md1
Use -f to force usage of a misaligned device

I have no problem Ext4. The disks are WD 10K rpm 1 GB SATA III Velociraptors
