Please can you help me help get started with how to upgrade to EPM 11.1.2.3 from EPMA Fusion Edition

I am pretty new to HFM. I am now tasked with upgrading to EPM 11.1.2.3 from our current version. I have read some Oracle upgrade documentation but they were pretty complicated to me. Is there something out there that is simple enough to follow. I have tried Oracle support but they have been very unhelpful. I would appreciate all the help.
