Shipment Number Change in Sales Order

Hi All,

Whenever the sales order is updated with a change related to any of the fields mentioned below, the original shipment will be cancelled and the order line would have a new shipment. These fields are as follows:

CARS, MOT, FRTH, MCU, SHAN, AN8, RSDJ, PPDJ, DRQJ.

But when an order is already ship confirmed with shipment number being at status 30 and if any changes are made to the above mentioned fields and system allows then a new shipment number is generated at status 10 and old one is cancelled (which is already been delivered to customer). Thus it creates a problem for the distribution planner as they only check the shipment number with status 10 and would then again be queuing material for production and delivery to customer. Thus chances of double delivery to customer and unnecessary production and inventory stocking.
