How to remove items from Workspace 'Recently Opened' list?

We have a new HFM application used for closing on a monthly basis, but the old application is being kept for archival purposes.  For many of our users that run only a few of the key reports on a monthly basis, the Recently Opened items list now has copies of the reports that point to both applications.  Is there any way to clear out this list so that the users only show the reports that point to the new application?
