Clustered Storage and NFS with RAC/ASM

Per P2-2 of the 11gR2 ASM Admin Manual - states NFS can be used in RAC for storing Data Files but not for Clusterware files.

Q1. What's the difference in these 2 file types ?

Q2. Does this mean that RAC needs to use a clustering solution other than Oracle Clusterware, if you are intending to use NFS storage as the shared storage between RAC nodes eg if you intend to put the database on NFS mounted file systems ?

Q3. What's the difference between a clustered storage solution ( CFS ) and say NFS ? Would NFS be considered a CFS ?

Q4. 11gR2 Grid Infrastructure has introduced ACFS ( I believe explicitly with RAC in mind ). However can RAC ( and ASM for that matter ) still use other cluster storage solutions eg OCFS2, GFS etc ? If so, how at solution design stage would you decide what the best CFS is to use ?

Howdy, Stranger!
