Installing non-Oracle software on Exadata Database Server

I know we are not permitted to install anything on cell servers; however, with regard to database servers are there any concerns or limitations. We have a request to install the Informatica CDC with Logminer software directly onto our database servers. Would this potentially pose any problems with performance of the database server and/or cause any conflicts?
