Grid Infrastructure 12c / Solaris 10 installation issues

Hi there,

I've been trying to install RAC 12c on a pair of Solaris 10 systems.

Along the way there have been a few issues, mostly on network setups.

First of all, each of the RAC nodes have four (4) NICs: e1000g0 and e1000g1 for public, e1000g2 and e1000g3 for interconnect.

I use Solaris 10 link-based IPMP for both public and interconnect. I could use HAIP for interconnects, but they need to be on different VLANs. With our current setup, each RAC cluster get different VLANs. So if each RAC consumes two VLANs, we’ll deplete VLANs very quickly. So I am still sticking with IPMP at this time.

Howdy, Stranger!
