what is the impact of changing the GL currency precision after transactions

Hi Experts,

Please let me know the impact of Currency Precision change in GL from 3 decimals to 2 decimals and also let me know what are all the required steps to be performed after the decreasing the Currency precision.

I have already refereed note:143286.1 .

Please Advise.
