Queries on Compensation planning

Hi

We are working in E9.1 and would like to implement compensation planning module. We would like to cover 3 processes like merit based compensation, sales commission based and variable based bonus processes in this module. I am sure about the merit based functionality and how to achieve in E9.1. Any suggestions how to capture sales commission based and variable based bonus processes in E9.1 ?
