Installation of Planning 11.1.2.3

Hello, I am attempting to install Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.3 and Essbase 11.1.2.3 and have encountered some issues with the installation.  Ended up having to run the rapid deployment of both on different servers to get something installed and to get the servers to talk.  I do have an issue with the workspace that I was wondering if anyone else has trouble with:  I cannot create a member dimension, but it will allow me to create an application, which is weird to me as dimensions are needed in the applications.  And when I say I cannot create dimensions, I mean there
