Creating a Period 13 for 2013 even though we are in 2014

The following is what I would like to do in JDE E1.  I need to know if there is any problem with doing this, it seems to test out fine am I missing anything?
Creating a Period 13 for 2013 even though we are in 2014 the Concept follows;

•   Delete the current 2014 Date Pattern that has a
  Begin Date of 1/1/2014.
• Change our 2013 Date Pattern – End Of Period 13
  to 01/01/2014.
• Re-Create our
  2014 Date Pattern with the Date beginning 01/02/2014
• Created and ran a program to change the F0911
  records that have a transaction date of 1/1/2014 to 01/02/2014.
• Enter and post entries to period 13 – 2013 dated
  1/1/14.
• Rerun year end roll when all entries are posted
