Following vs Tracking,  What is the difference between these in the Oracle Communities?

You have two ways to keep informed about community threads.  You can follow an activity or you can track it.

- Tracking is for crucial need-to-know activities or threads you feel you must monitor.

- Following an activity or thread allows you to monitor it in a less active or stringent manner.

Tracking routes activity from individual documents, discussions, and places into your Communications page.  Click Track in Communications/Stop tracking in the Action menu for managing tracking of threads etc.

Following filters your activity stream so you see the people, places, and items you're interested in, but don’t need to use the urgency of tracking . You want to be able to group these items and view them in the Communities but dont necessarily want email in regards to updates to these. Click
