Change of Supplier classification for existing supplier

Hi All,

Can any one suggeste me, if I am changing Supplier classification what would be effect and what are the precausions we need to take.

As business wants to change classification for one existing supplier to create BOE invoices for India localization Customs Duty, IL team replied we can change the classification.

But we need suggestion from Purchasing team what whould be the impact if we change classification for existing Supplier .

Please suggest.
