Manager Self-Service is it possible to sort or filter columns through personalization?

Hi,

Version 12.1.3

I was looking to add a filter to person type (screen shots attached) on Manager Self Service. Some managers with many employees have both contingent and employee and would like the option to sort on this. Is it possible? I tried personalizing to allow search and sort, however there is no change on the page after doing this. Does anyone have any recommendations on how it can be accomplished?
