How to find core cpu, cpu socket, etc information

edited Mar 5, 2014 2:53PM in Oracle Solaris System Administration (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hi,

We have Red Hat Linux, Solaris 64 and 32 operating systems.

Our environments are  using virtualisation.

I am looking for a document which will help in finding the CORE CPU, CPU SOCKET, CPU SOCKETS-ACTIVE, CORES, CHIP TYPE, VIRTUALISATION, etc. Is there any document which will help in finding this information! I need to find out whether we are have virtualised any hardware or not!

We are going to use this information for some new purchases.

Regards,

Sarwar
