Supplier Split/Release Schedules and Consignment inventory

We have a requirement to be able to generate a vendor demand plan to multiple vendors over a rolling 15-18 month period.  The supplier split process appears to work well but I've been given a new wrinkle to include consigned inventory in the mix.  Does anyone know if these two activities are compatible?
