Change LDOM extended-mapin-space and inter-vnet-link settings in primary during a patching cycle out

Host: T4-4, with LDOMS and ZONES

OS: Solaris 11.1

Issues: During the last patching cycle, I was exposed to two bugs :

Bug 17479889 - virtual network switch can corrupt TCP packet when extended-mapin-space is off

Bug 17694771 - After migration VNET won't init: exceeded number of permitted handshake attempt

which because of the number of zones we are running caused me to turn extended-mapin-space=ON and inter-vnet-link settings=OFF.

The current patch cycle fixes 17479889 which which switched off, no longer exposes me to 17694771.

My dilemma:

I'm patching tonight. I'd like to change these settings AND patch in the same outage. But I don't see a way to do that without multiple reboots.

Howdy, Stranger!
