Shipping Method default

We have a requirement to default the shipping method from the original order line when a return order is created referring the original order.

Taxes are calculated at the line level.

Example: Original order is shipped via fedex and taxes are calculated based on this shipping method. when a return order is created the shipping method is defaulted from the order type setup. and this shipping method is different causing the taxes calculate incorrectly.

Is there a way we can default the shipping method on the return order based on the original order?
