Unlock priors year and re-consolidate require if roll up is change to current period

Hello,

Please let me know if there is a requirement to unlock prior year/periods to re-consolidate for the roll up to update/take place if the roll up is change in the current period/year.

I test it in the development environment and see that data roll up update ok without unlock the prior periods/years to re-consolidate.   I just wanted to ensure and confirm that is the case.
