su from non-root user, no warning to change password

My system password policy set as 7 days for "password warning" before the account password expire.
If I login directly to the system, the system will prompt me to change password.
However, if I login to another account and using "su command" to my account there won't be any warning to change password. 

Why ? any work around solution.
