Enabling Global Attributes in OE_ORDER_LINES

Is there any way to use the Global Attributes in OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL and allow the users to view the data?  We are out of flexfield options in the traditional flexfield, I can write data there, but users cannot view it.  Has anyone been able to use these and how did you accomplish?
